Choose a coherent preparation
We compare relevant culinary source bodies, generally from more than one independently authored source, and choose one consistent ingredient set and method. We explain material differences rather than combining incompatible ratios or claiming every household cooks the same way. Source links identify references, not permission to copy expressive writing or images.
We investigate Sinhala- and Tamil-language material alongside English specialists. Translation alone is not a claim of originality or a guarantee of better knowledge. Where access or translation leaves a fact uncertain, we avoid presenting it as established.
Make ingredient choices visible
We explain US product forms, weights or household measures where useful, and the flavor or texture consequence of a substitute. An ingredient marked optional is a deliberate choice in that preparation, not a statement that it has no cultural importance. Ingredient labels and allergen declarations can differ by manufacturer.
Culinary tradition does not replace current food-safety guidance. Sour fish curry and vinegar-dressed eggplant are not treated here as shelf-stable preserves.
Review is not a cooking test
Pages are reviewed and accepted by an AI editor under the owner’s delegation. All launch recipes are researched but not cooked or tested by Culinara. We do not publish invented ratings, nutrition numbers, cooking results, personal experience or human credentials.
Timings and yields, if given, are estimates for the selected method. Use the described texture and safe temperature endpoints rather than a timer alone.
Images and corrections
Food images are original AI-generated illustrations made from descriptive briefs without publisher reference photographs. They illustrate a possible serving; they do not document our exact recipe. Captions and image details disclose the provider, terms and modifications. We omit Recipe rich-result image claims for these illustrations.
We correct content when a concrete issue is identified and re-review the changed version before publication. A public contact inbox is not yet available; the Contact page states this limitation.
